A Promise for the New Year

We’ve come to the end of another year and I think most of us are shocked at how rapidly this year has passed by! The years do seem to go by more rapidly as we age. Some speculate that that is because each year takes up a lesser percentage of the life we’ve already lived.  For instance, a year to a 5-year-old is 20% of their life - - to a 70-year-old its .014% of their total life!  The pace at which the years pass is a matter of perception – depending upon the number of years we’ve already lived! Wherever we are on that spectrum, it is important for us to realize the simple truth that time is passing! I want to talk about that today in our message series “When God Came Near - 4”.  Today’s message: “A Promise for the New Year” is taken from Zechariah 1:3.
