Standing Guilty Before the Judge

As the Book of Romans opens, Paul, as a Prosecuting Attorney, is explaining the Gospel. In doing so, he makes an argument for the guilt of the entire human race before a holy God. His presentation begins, not with God’s love, but with God’s anger over sin. That wrath must be satisfied. If it is not, then eternal banishment from the presence of God is the penalty. How God remedied this situation is the theme of the Book of Romans. We’ll continue our study in Romans today. “Standing Guilty Before the Judge” is taken from Romans 3:1-20.
